We present the concept of bridging the knowledge gap. Getting from what we know to what we want to know can be sped up using DOTI (Diversity of Thought and Imagination) and Serendipity. Careful design of your experiments can be maximised to bridge the knowledge gap.
The LSD principle helps young researchers be successful by focusing them on some simple rules: 1. reference others often and 2. keep things simple.
